State of Ohio vs. Ruben Rhodes

This comprehensive virtual case study begins with policy and ends with sentencing. Within are educational and authentic videos of the criminal justice system from beginning to end and back around to reoffending and recidivism. It is meant to provide the criminal justice student with a holistic and experiential learning tool. While immersed inside of the case, students will apply, analyze and evaluate current systemic approaches to crime. This innovative opportunity encourages systemic thinking toward effective criminal justice policies and practices.


Law Enforcement Testimony

Law Enforcement often testifies in court regarding the cases that they investigate in order to provide direct evidence in support of the state’s case. Later in the case study, you will hear from additional undercover detectives about the cooperative and multi-state nature of this case. Note that, while this case study is based in a courtroom, all subsystems are involved.
