State of Ohio vs. Ruben Rhodes

This comprehensive virtual case study begins with policy and ends with sentencing. Within are educational and authentic videos of the criminal justice system from beginning to end and back around to reoffending and recidivism. It is meant to provide the criminal justice student with a holistic and experiential learning tool. While immersed inside of the case, students will apply, analyze and evaluate current systemic approaches to crime. This innovative opportunity encourages systemic thinking toward effective criminal justice policies and practices.


Witness #1

Co-Defendant Testimony against Mr. Rhodes. The State offered several co-defendants the opportunity to plea bargain in return for testimony against Ruben Rhodes. Several of these witnesses were incarcerated at the time of their testimony. The state must provide that Mr. Rhodes committed his crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.
