State of Ohio vs. Ruben Rhodes

This comprehensive virtual case study begins with policy and ends with sentencing. Within are educational and authentic videos of the criminal justice system from beginning to end and back around to reoffending and recidivism. It is meant to provide the criminal justice student with a holistic and experiential learning tool. While immersed inside of the case, students will apply, analyze and evaluate current systemic approaches to crime. This innovative opportunity encourages systemic thinking toward effective criminal justice policies and practices.


Rule 29

Rule 29 is a motion made by defense counsel that essentially states that the evidence is insufficient to go to the jury. Because our system heavily relies on the judicious principles of an impartial jury, Rule 29 motions are not often granted.
